"IBLF's excellent advice,
facilitation and support has enabled the only ongoing initiative tackling the issue of business corruption in China and the only programme which brings together both Chinese and foreign organisations on a regular basis."

Dean, School of Public Administration, Renmin University.

Being Persistent: IBLF in China

In China, where we have worked since 1992, we now have a substantial business network under the umbrella of the China Business Leaders Forum.

After four years of meetings, dialogues and exploration, a group of pioneering Chinese business leaders recognised the important role they could play in the social and environmental issues - not just economic - in their country.

In addition, the local Forum brings other business leaders together to improve business practices - especially in terms of transparency and standards. A partnership between the China Development Bank (the government's principal infrastructure financing institution) and Renmin University has now led to the design of a new transparent credit approach to all the national and local infrastructure projects that the bank oversees.
