Peace-building in Colombia - the role of business in mitigating the impact of conflict

IBLF is collaborating with a number of partners from the private and public sector and the NGO community, to help understand how business can play its part in mitigating the impact of conflict in Colombia by addressing humanitarian issues and participating in peace building activities, and how more generally the private sector can promote the full spectrum of human rights in Colombia.

As a result of this work, IBLF will publish a report in July 2006 and convene a number of multi-stakeholder dialogue meetings in Bogotá, New York and London to discuss the findings and help catalyse further corporate engagement.

The report and dialogues are produced in association with Colombian NGO Fundación Ideas Para La Paz, with sponsorship from IBLF member, The Coca-Cola Company, as well as the support of a range of other organisations.
