Who is on the Leaders Council? The Leaders Council is designed to be a globally representative and diverse group of influential players with a passionate interest in responsible and sustainable business. Leaders Council members are invited based on their capacity to challenge the status quo, provoke different ways of thinking and lead by example. Members include current and former executives from some of the world’s biggest companies, as well as senior figures from government and non-government sectors.
How the Leaders Council works
Council meetings are small, intimate discussions held every few months via the latest tele-presence, web networking and virtual environments. Meetings are 1-2 hours in duration and facilitated by senior IBLF advisors in two time zones to suit the global participants. Topics are generated both by Council members and by IBLF, drawing on our international advisory committees in developed and emerging markets as well as IBLF’s own research. Leaders Council members receive a briefing paper ahead of each meeting and participate based on individual availability and interest. In-person sessions may be organised at global, regional or local levels based on Council members’ areas of interest.
Benefits for our members
The Leaders Council delivers impact by focusing on a small number of critical issues that will really make a difference:- Can growth be durable?
- What is the role of business in transforming the behaviour of consumers?
- How can business encourage longer-term metrics and incentives?
