Activis Bulgaria wins 2006 ENGAGE Award - at the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum's Annual Responsible Business Awards 2006, pharmaceuticals giant Actavis was presented with the ENGAGE Award for its work to promote employee engagement. Other winners at the BBLF Responsible Business Awards included BNP Paribas, Hewlett Packard Bulgaria, JobTiger, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company and AstraZeneca. Read more

Citigroup “Global Community Day” Mobilises Over 40,000 Volunteers Across 100 Countries - Tens of thousands of Citigroup volunteers across the world participated in Citigroup’s first "Global Community Day," on Saturday, November 18 working on over 800 projects in more than 450 cities across 100 countries.
Citigroup jointly chairs the ENGAGE Business Leadership Team and actively promotes involvement by employees in their communities. Read more

Danone wins ENGAGE Award in Bulgaria – Amanda Bowman presented Danone – one of the leading dairy companies in Bulgaria – the employee engagement awards in the country at the Bulgaian Business Leaders Forum’s Annual Business Awards in Sofia. Read more

National Conference on Community, National Service and Volunteering (USA) – ENGAGE facilitated two workshops at the annual Points of Light Foundation Conference. "Exploring the Learning Curve – Linking Employee Engagement in the Community to the Human Resources Agenda" was led by Sue Heiler from CSCG and included input from KPMG, Bank of America and Iniciativa Brasil. "ENGAGing Business Support" aimed to help non-profit organisations understand how best to work with companies to leverage corporate volunteers. Sarah Hayes from Starwood Hotels and Resorts provided a corporate perspective.

United eWay offers online pledging and volunteer software – United Way, in partnership with ENGAGE, organised an afternoon session for corporations, volunteer bureaus, CSR consultants and organisations in the UK to discuss United eWay’s Suite of Online Pledging and Volunteer Software Solutions. Participants included companies including General Electric, United Airlines and the Marriott Group along with representatives from non-profit and volunteer organisations including Business in the Community, SmartChange, Westminster Volunteer Bureau and others.

ENGAGE launches in Poland (Warsaw, Chorzow) – The IBLF collaborated with the Chorzow Business School to hold a series of events on employee engagement, beginning in Warsaw with a press conference, and then moving to Chorzow in the industrial heartland of Silesia. Activities included a conference on “The dilemmas of human resource management on the threshold of the European Union” – part of which was devoted to the subject of employee volunteering – as well as workshops conducted by representatives of the IBLF’s Autokreacja programme, which calls on volunteer managers from business to mentor long-term unemployed graduate.
