Models for Employee Engagement
The ENGAGE Campaign has developed a number of models for engaging employees and companies to promote more employee engagement.
These include:
ENGAGE Week Imagine in one week engaging thousands of employees in communities around the world. ENGAGE Week events aim to achieve this.
ENGAGE Weeks aim to:
Give national and international visibility to employee engagement activities
Kick-start new employee engagement programmes and partnerships
Recognise companies with established, committed programmes
Mobilise and inspire thousands of new and active corporate volunteers
Celebrate the contribution employee engagement makes to sustainable community development
Support employees already involved in local communities and encourage more to get involved
Provide companies with an easy way to organise projects and develop community partnerships
In April 2004 Volunteering Australia - with support from the Australian Prime Minister's Business Community Partnership,
and in collaboration with Volunteering Victoria, Volunteering New South Wales and Volunteering Queensland – organised ENGAGE
Week in Australia. The Week featured a series of six seminars on employee engagement. Approximately 400 leaders from the private
and non-profit sectors participated, including representatives from Whitbread, National Australia Bank, Esso, Boston Consulting
Group, Energex and Ford.

development. In 2005 ENGAGE in partnership with Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum awarded the ENGAGE Award for Bulgaria to
Danone – one of the leading dairy companies in the country.
