BUILDING COMPETENCIES
To date, 1,000+ partnership practitioners from all sectors and many different countries have participated in our professional training programmes.

Some graduates are grappling on a day-to-day basis with current or post-conflict situations (in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Palestine, Rwanda or the Sudan), many others have sole responsibility, often within large and complex organisations, for setting up and managing collaborative ventures with non-traditional partners.

Our Learning and Training programmes include:

Post Graduate Certificate in Cross-sector Partnership

PCCP is led by the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry, in association with IBLF. The programme is a one-year, part-time course aimed at those in full-time employment earning an academic qualification at Master’s level. It aims to deepen understanding and analysis of partnership as a sustainable development paradigm. Now in its 7th year, the next cohort starts in March 2008.

Run as a collaboration between IBLF and the UK’s Overseas Development Institute, this four-month programme aims to build a new profession in which qualified individuals can develop and manage multi-stakeholder partnerships. The PBAS course comprises a one-week residential course, three month’s mentored professional practice and a final written project. Cohort 15 takes place in November 2007, Cohort 16 in Australia in February 2008 and Cohort 17 in the UK in March 2008.
